About
Overview
The Composers Guild of New Jersey was founded in 1981 by Robert Pollock with support from the NJ State Council on the Arts. The original focus of the organization was on presenting concerts, festivals, education programs, and international exchanges. Over time, the organization's focus has shifted away from concert presentation, and in the direction of composer advocacy, seeking to increase public awareness of the significant contributions made by New Jersey's composers, primarily through our commissioning and project support programs.
