CGNJ seeks to increase awareness of the significant legacy of NJ in Music History.
There is a surprising spectrum of composers currently living and working in NJ. Our online database provides a resource for biographical information, contact information, lists of works, and links to mp3 files, and to commercially available recordings.
Our news and reviews pages covers the latest concerts and critical successes of NJ composers. We are proud to be able to foster the continued vitality of American music through our $100,000 Mary Meth Commissioning Endowment. The endowment is used to support concert music, with priority given to projects that promote collaboration between individual NJ composers (CGNJ member composers) and diverse NJ arts organizations.
