Founded in 1981 by Robert Pollock with support from the NJ State Council on the Arts, CGNJ has, since its inception, presented concerts, festivals, and international exchanges.
Over the years CGNJ has enjoyed the support, association, and guidance of
Edward T. Cone
Entering the new millennium CGNJ continues to adapt to the needs and interests of a new public, making available information about NJ composers through new media.
CGNJ's goal is to use music, particularly original music, as a means of communication, exchange and cooperation among New Jersey's diverse arts organizations, including dance, theater, visual arts and smaller community arts organizations.
